Over the weekend we flew to London for a quick trip of site seeing, craft fair shopping, and friend visiting. Beautiful cool weather was the cherry on top. Noah was super pumped to go to 'Yennen' (London) and see Big Ben, or Big Bently, all you Cars II fans, and he wanted to see if Mater and Finn and Holly were inside, but we told him they were busy. He is a great trooper in the stroller, and with the trains (tube), buses and cars galore to look at, why wouldn't he be!? We spent some time with our friend Holly, shopped at the Renegade Fair, (pictures in another post!) and then spent an afternoon with Jason's friend, Matt, and his family, who he became good friends with when he lived in Trinidad before we met. (Oil field! It can move you around a lot!) Matt and Carol have a little boy, Micah, and it was super cute to watch the two of them run and chase each other in the park, and laugh hysterically at the word, 'pee'. Our weekend was semi fast paced, and I am sore from all the walking and baby carrying! We walked and took the tube, and quickly found out with our stroller, not all tube stations have elevators. Jason and Noah were champs though, lugging that thing up and down all the stairs. Noah thought it was fun, and even stayed asleep many times while Jason had to lug him up the stairs. Anytime you travel with kids, it can be draining, and really test your patience, and this one was no different. Asher is a 'I hate car seats, strollers, sitting still on your lap' kinda baby, so he needed to be held most of the time, which wasn't terrible, (he did take some long naps in the Ergo!) but boarding the flight home and for the flight, he decided he was gonna scream on the top of his lungs, and he wasn't gonna let anything mommy or daddy did calm him down! (Feeding him saved the day!) Overall, we had a great time, and LOVE that we can take an hour plane ride and be somewhere new, and fun, in the UK and Europe. We will be taking more trips to other countries, I'm sure, but I think I want to wait until Asher is a bit older. Hopefully he will grow out of his hate of the stroller...
