holiday crafting

I have been waiting for Noah to be big enough to have fun making things, especially for the holidays, and the time is here!  Yes!!  Asher's morning nap is the perfect time for Noah and I to do some creative activities together.  A week or so ago, we collected some pine cones by our church,  with the thought of making some garland.  Noah enjoyed putting glue on the pine cones, (with a q-tip and little cup of glue) and then rolling them in the glitter.  My neat freak of a boy had an issue with glitter, or glue really, getting on his hands, but for the most part he had fun.  He started to loose interest, so we just dipped the bottom of about half the pine cones. He then helped me tie them onto the twine.  It was fun!  I love seeing his focus in these pictures.  I have a few more little crafty things for Noah to help me make and add to the garland, before it is complete.  Will share our final product soon!

How funny - I feel the exact same way about my son. He is just getting interested in "crafty" things. We actually tried to make a pine cone garland last week. But I can't seem to find any pine cones. There were some there a few weeks ago....haha. Guess I'll need to look other places. Looks like he enjoyed it!
