noah - first day of primary one

Noah started Primary 1 last week, and it went very smooth, if you don't count the tantrums about his uniform.  ;)  He is going to the same school as last year, so he already knew a handful of boys in his class, and remembered where his P1 class was, from when they got to visit it last school year.  He is going to a Scottish public school, not the International school, here in Aberdeen.  At first we really wanted him to be in the International school, it is really big and nice and looked like it offered a lot of things, but with no room for him, and politics with different companies and the school, he is in a sweet school just down the road from us, and we are very happy.
Noah is an eager learner when it comes to numbers and letters, and writing words.  I am excited to see how the year progresses!
At 4.5 years old, he is still a picky eater, but with some new guidelines at the dinner table, he reluctantly will take a bite of the food on his plate.  Sometimes even eat it all up and want more (egg plant fries!!  sweet potato fries!!)  And sometimes he gags and spits it out.  (green beans!)  Still a work in progress.
In the morning when the boys wake up, they are either destroying their room together, or sweetly sitting on Noah's bed, while Noah is "reading" to Asher, book after book.  I love seeing their relationship grow!
He loves jumping on the trampoline, and has mastered some little tricks on it.  His confidence on playgrounds has grown so much, and he can now swing on a big swing, although still needs to be pushed.
I am really enjoying this stage where I can teach him little life skills, and watch him grow, like being fully independent in the restroom, filling his cup with water from the fridge, clearing his place at the dinner table, etc... He is still a master at cleaning up, 8 out of 10 times he willingly will clean the whole play room and won't stop until it is fully done, everything in its rightful place.  He loves to help with the laundry and dishes too.
Here's to you, Noah boy!  You are such a gem, I love you so...
