NEED YOUR OPINION!!!

I could use your opinion.  I have had this blog since 2007.  Going on 5 years!!  When I started it, I just picked a random name that had to do with where I live.  Sugar Land.  Well... now that we are moving to Scotland in a few weeks, 'Sugar Lander' doesn't seem to fit it anymore.  But I am not sure if I should change my blog name to something else... And I don't want, 'My Life as a Scotlander'.  ;)  With my Etsy shop growing and with my blog followers growing too, I was thinking of changing it to a name that better fit with my shop, PAPER+TWINE.  Or should it just stay, 'My Life as a Sugar Lander'?  Would it totally be confusing to people who come via a link for 'Sugar Lander'?
I would love your opinion!!  Thank you!

For those of us elsewhere, "Sugarland" can tell us many things, but especially that your blog is a warm place, where not only can we find something of interest to us but we sweeten life.
Leave it dear, your blog and your name will flavor the virtual world.
Greetings from El Salvador.

i used to live in Sugar Land, too, and would love a move to Scotland! we moved to dallas instead. :/ but I'm all for uniformity. I think you should call it Paper + Twine.

i didn't realize until recently that the name of your blog was a peak at where you lived...i thought it was just a great name. i think it's sweet and fits your site perfectly, but so does paper+twine. both are wonderful names!!

p.s. for some reason i'm thinking there is already a paper+twine blog, or am i imagining that?

I've been thinking about changing my blog name, too, just because it seems tired now and I'm working on lots of updates. However, I want to make things easy for readers so I'll probably keep it. So, I would stick with your current name, especially since it's a piece of your history.

Keep it. I LOVE it. I think it also gives you the space to separate your business a bit from your real life. Part of what makes it so authentic is because it is not all about your business. And, besides, what are you going to do in a few years when you move back?

I love your name. I'm a stalker, excuse me, lurker here at Sugar Land and I didn't realize it was where you lived. Altho...now that i think about it, I think I remember reading that once here. I do love change and fresh starts, too... ..I changed my blog name once and I don't think it gave anyone fits. ;) but, I do love blogs with meaning and/or that have a story behind them. sorry, that was NO help whats-so-ever. blessings and good luck with the move. :) (cat moore - www.catdmoore.com)

Scotland is actually linked to the sugar industry in the UK as it's where the sugar cane ships used to land. golden Syrup was made in Scotland and lots of sugary treats originated from there. so your name would be just as applicable! xxx
