potato stamped jammies

Asher has been in need of some new jammies.  I came across a pack of 3 plain white footie pajamas at the store, and immediately knew I would stamp something fun on them for our boy.  I decided to use a potato stamp, because I don't have any carving blocks to make my own stamp at the moment.  I drew a car shape on the halved potato, and carefully with the knife, cut away the extra potato, leaving the car raised.  I used fabric paint, and followed the paint's directions for the fabric and how to use the paint.
I like the imprint of rubber (store bought or hand carved) better then the potato, the car print isn't as crisp as I had wanted it, but it does the trick, and is still cute, once there are cars all over our Asher boy.
We are as warm as we will probably get here in Scotland, with the highs in the low 60's, so the nights are still cool enough to wear footie pajamas.  We do not have air conditioning, and our radiators are turned off, so these are perfect for our 'summer nights'.
I have done a couple other DIY's involving printing, (it is one of my favorite things to do!) so feel free to take a look here and here.
Now on to my next stamping project!
