This week we had our first ever family photo shoot, with Brooke.  I can't wait to see them, I know they are going to be great!  Noah was on his best behavior, carrying matchbox cars in both hands for most of the time... :)  I love her work, and was so excited to find her!  I had been searching for a long while to find a photographer that was my style, and she is it!  Take a look at her blog, and website.

I am in party planning mode.  My friend, Catherine and I are planning a heck of a fun party, and I am wanting to whip up some fun streamers as part of the decoration.  These two images caught my eye.  No surprise, both weddings are designed by Ashley Meaders.

If you haven't heard of Ashley Meaders, you must go check her out... I am loving this garland she made for Max Wanger's wedding.  I need to make some.  No, I'm going to make some.  And hang it up.  Outside.  With cafe lights.  

renegade signage inspiration

I have a full day to work on Renegade items, thanks to my sister watching Noah!  Yay!  I am  currently making some signs for my booth... a PAPER+TWINE sign, and price/product sign.  I have been inspired by simple writing, nothing too fussy.  These images have inspired me!  Although I am not writing on glass, I love how all of these look!  I will be writing in white, on wood.  Hope they turn out looking good!

dreamy sweets

These two shots make running a sweet treat shop look so dreamy.  (These are not of the same shop)  Notice the little clouds and paper air plane on the glass?!  Nice little detail.  ;)

At the store today, I almost bought a carton of confetti eggs.  But I am glad I didn't, because by the looks of these beauties, I want to make some!  Probably not this year... running out of time!  Noah would enjoy it more next year, anyways...

I've currently got a thing for clouds, if you couldn't tell.  Aren't these cloud marshmallows the best thing ever?  I have found the company that sells them, but doesn't look like you can purchase online.  I saw somewhere that you may be able to find them at World Market.  --I am on the hunt!!

thinking of the beach

In a couple of weeks, Jason, Noah and I will be off to sunny California! San Francisco, Carmel, and Yosemite Park. We can't wait. Our first family vacation. I am slightly stressing about the plane ride, and the fact that Noah can be picky with food, but Noah always surprises me with his great mood in situations, so I know I am probably over reacting. We are gonna show him the beach for the first time! These beautiful photos by Alicia Bock get me in the mood...

What a year it has been for our family! I am so excited to celebrate the birth of my savior, Jesus, with our son for the first time this year! It is gonna be amazingly great. My sister and family are coming in tomorrow for the week, and then we are off to visit family after that, and in between we will be celebrating Noah's 1st birthday too! I will be back in the new year with posts on Noah's birthday, Christmas photos, and of course photos of the handmade gifts I am giving... and I am gonna document my Craft Resolutions of 2011!

photo booth fun

Wooh! I have been super busy it seems. Lots of things going on, lots to post about! Including this fun photo booth, which was at the Spectrum Art Show last week. My friend, Catherine, called me up the day of the show, asking if I had any props for a photo booth. Nope. --What to do?? Make some hours before the show starts!! Catherine found some foam that was perfect for cutting out fun glasses, and mustaches. Who knew there were so many versions of the mustache? We had so much fun making them, and they were a hit!!

the best wedding ever.

I know this is all over the blogosphere, but I just had to post... for my own idea files, to reference later. Photographer Max Wanger, and Margaux's (LOVE the spelling!) wedding is simply stunning! And of course the photography is amazing too... I wouldn't have thought it would be anything less.... I love the softness of the photos, and the long streamers as decoration is the best! These are some of my faves. Also, check out some videos of the wedding/couple.

Max Wanger photographs beautifully, and, in his shop, each month he creates a t-shirt inspired by a photo. I love that concept. Too bad that seagull one is sold out.
