I have never been a big Halloween decorator, but thank you Pinterest for showing me some great minimal, modern Halloween projects to try!  I've been leaning towards black accents, but those brightly painted pumpkins are looking good.

I have been a tad bit stripe happy for awhile now. I am always looking for a good stripe, for myself and my boys.  I noticed Noah's fave striped shirts were getting too small, so luckily I snagged some of these above for him (and Asher) to restock his drawers.  These are the latest I am loving.

This week we had our first ever family photo shoot, with Brooke.  I can't wait to see them, I know they are going to be great!  Noah was on his best behavior, carrying matchbox cars in both hands for most of the time... :)  I love her work, and was so excited to find her!  I had been searching for a long while to find a photographer that was my style, and she is it!  Take a look at her blog, and website.

the end of summer

I am torn between wanting fall to hurry up, or wanting summer to stay a little longer.  (Who am I kidding?  Summer will be staying in TX till October...) Especially when I am wishing we would take another lake vacation.  I have been planning our future lake house on Pinterest.  I must say, it's looking pretty good!  It could happen.

bigger = better

Continuing with the party theme this week... what's more festive than balloons!?  And BIG ones, I might add.  I have had some experience with these, and really like them.  They are 36" balloons... the more helium you put in, the better.  If you don't put enough in, they won't float.  I have even gotten them blown up in the evening, and they last all through the night, and through the next day!!  Party on people!

play + modern

I am loving this backyard of architect John Tong, seen in Dwell Magazine.  I love the colors, mixed with wood and grass.  And that table set up?  Yes please!!  We currently do not have any table on our nice big backyard porch.  It is my wish every spring that we had something there.  And with Noah getting bigger and more independent outside, I want a nice place to sit and watch him play.  So this is the year.  I am gonna find something I like.  I like how he mixes up all the chairs and wood bench.  May be something I want to try and recreate.

you are an obsession...

I currently have 2 striped dresses, 1 striped cardigan, 4 striped shirts, and 1 striped bathing suit.  The majority of them are either black and white, or navy and white... they are all different in their own way, and I wear them all often!  I would love to add this J.Crew dress to my collection.  I will be stalking it till it goes on sale.

renegade display inspiration

Renegade is 18 days away, and although I am finished crafting everything (except my biz cards) for the fair, I am feeling a lot of pressure.  My stomach hurts.  So does my head.  Combining life and a toddler and other design projects I committed to and Renegade makes for a busy next 18 days.  I wasn't planning on doing a backdrop/decor/feature wall, mostly because I hadn't thought of anything and the time, but when I saw this, I thought it would be perfect and simple for me!  My hubby and I are already drawing it up, to make our free standing version.  Of course mine will look different, because I don't have anything bigger than a 4x6, but this is my inspiration.  I was reading that you should set up your booth like you would if you had your own shop, and I love that piece of advice.. I am on my way to having a fantastic "shop"!  Stay tuned...

clouds in my coffee...

I've currently got a thing for clouds, if you couldn't tell.  Aren't these cloud marshmallows the best thing ever?  I have found the company that sells them, but doesn't look like you can purchase online.  I saw somewhere that you may be able to find them at World Market.  --I am on the hunt!!
